I remember a performance by Rainer at the old Splinter Brothers Warehouse years ago in Tucson....it was an out of body experience. He was a very beautiful person and all of us who were touched by his music shall never forget him.

Wonderful. I lived in Tucson for 3-4 years in the mid 80s and I often saw Rainer play solo or with Das Combo. His music truly moved me. It was not until years later that I learned of his illness and passing. His CDs are still available directly through his wife. Buy some and keep his music alive.

One of the luckiest moments of my life was sitting on the floor there at the Epic, and to relive it again, now... and all the bittersweet moments after, during his final performances... whoo... no words. Many, many thanks for sharing his Light.

You go through life and all you can do is hope that you would have chance to see something this moving...May God Hold You in His Arms!

Completely agree with the previous comment! Absolutely stunning! Is there a whole programme that this has been taken from? Could there be even more rare valuable footage? Thanks very much! Just superb!

I wanted to leave an appreciative comment to express my feelings on listening to and seeing Rainer in this heart-warming and astonishing video - but I can think of nothing appropriate or sufficiently high enough in praise for such an unexpected treat - so I'll just say 'thanks for sharing'.
