Dear Stages of Coma:Brilliant, Yes.. The Legend and political mover and shaker that is Neil Young is giving that young LA media bimbo a most patient and eloquent lesson in some very basic truths about what is Patriotism and the right of Free Speech. And the main 'Showbiz Tonight' presenter's 'concurrence' at the end with Neil's point of view was absolutely WONDERFUL! As Always.. Neil Young does not need publicity or record sales, he just cares so much about what is happening in this country.

At first, my thought was that she didn't deserve to be interviewing him because of how she accused Neil of just wanting to sell records, but then as I listened to Neil respond calmly and then go on to explain things to her like he's a teacher, it dawned on me that he really is and that she needed to interview him because she needed to hear him.
Still love how theh other guy zinged her at the end, though. Can't help it, she deserved that.

neil left griffin records his label thru the 70's as they wanted him to produce the same old same old crazy horse style although it was more saleable he resisted in respect of the statement he needed to make - regardless of record sales ... if that was an argument try picking an artist that actually needs money.

I am pretty sure if you pay taxes in a country you have just as much a right to criticize those who run the country. And I am quite sure Neil Young has dual citizenship.

go for it NEIL. I'm 47 have loved CSN and YOU since I was a teen. If people don't like your music or when you go on tour then they are not true fans. They should know what to expect. You have always voiced your opinion.I admire that. I am an activist and advocate. I work for a non-profit agncy. I BELIEVE IN YOU. I qish Dennis Kucinich would have stayed in.
