any1 interested in this sort of thing should check out ZEITGEIST just googel it and watch both parts 2 hrs each.Its a documentry on relegion, 9/11 and the fedral bank. one section covers opium production in afghanistan, heres a little taster. 'befor 1980 afghanistan produced 0% of the worlds opium. after the US/CIA backed mujahideen(not sure how to spell it!) won the soviet/afghan war. by 1986 they were producing 40% of the worlds heroin supply.'

Heroin is not compatible with islam; that's why the Taliban stopped poppy growing and why it's much higher than it was in 2001. Al Qaida is not profiting from it; poor farmers are. The prices they quote arent realistic. They barely make a living from selling opium. The people who make the money are the ones who do the smuggling and then finally cut it and bag preparatory to selling it.
