A man who is one of the Taliban's ideological founding fathers, provides them with a new generation of recruits. Sami-ul-Haq is an ex Pakistani senator and his schools have trained many of the Taliban's central committee members. He tells us; "We now have Taliban from Arab countries, the Far East - Thailand etc. Central Asia also, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan - They are also seeking Islam." Anti-western students throw insults at the camera. Meanwhile in bullet-ridden Kandahar we capture the militant Islamic state in action. At a public execution crowds gather to see 3 men convicted of murder gunned down by their victim's relatives.

Ferrosonic you are dead wrong, the USA supported the mujahedin against the russians and ended their support with the start of the Afghan Civil War. With the rise of the Taliban, the USA, as well as Russia, the UN,Iran, and many others opposed and condemned the Taliban and impose economic sanctions. The Taliban fully embraced and supported Bin Laden and is terror network thats why he choose Afghanistan to set as his base of operations. you should really get your facts straight before you post

No is the correct answer, until the failure and pullout of the soviets in 1989 the USA support the rebels, The Mujahedin. However, after the soviets left the USA left the Afghanis to fight there own cicil war which is a great source of us dislike of the us by Afghan people prior to 2001.

the reason they were created was to get a sister's honour back???? yea right, that's bullshit, have u seen the videos on here how they beat women in the streets for not wearing a burqa properly?? what kind of honour is that?? Do you see how the Taliban treat women like objects, don't let them work, don't let them show their face in public, relegating them to beg for money, what kind of honour protection is that??
