from "world of john hammond"10 Sept 1975"Oh, sister, when I come to lie in your arms You should not treat me like a stranger. Our Father would not like the way that you act And you must realize the danger.
Oh, sister, am I not a brother to you And one deserving of affection? And is our purpose not the same on this earth, To love and follow his direction?
We grew up together From the cradle to the grave We died and were reborn And then mysteriously saved.
Oh, sister, when I come to knock on your door, Don't turn away, you'll create sorrow. Time is an ocean but it ends at the shore You may not see me tomorrow"
Is that Scarlet Rivera on the Violin, or somebody else? I loved her violin on Desire, but is this her performing live?

His stuff was topped in the 70s. It just didn't have the same cultural impact but the music is more polished, his singing is better, and his range is more dynamic musically.I guess you can make the argument on lyrics alone maybe the 60s was the best...but I'm not sure I even agree there.
Note: when I say he sings better, I mean in the studio recordings, live there is not much differance.

I think he is a more secure performer by the 70's, but his stuff from the 60's can't be topped.

i agree, the rolling thunder revue was fantastic, but the 1966 concerts with The band like backing band was also amazing...

Bob Dylans work in the 70s is the best. His 60s music is so hammered into the culture of that time it's more like a relic, but I think he sounded better and made better music in the 70s by far.

This comment was meant as sarcasm. I was making fun of voidmachinery's comment that Dylan used drugs.End the war on drugs! The War on Drugs has turned the USA into a police state.

Plus weed, acid&coke.Speed, too.
And shopping. Bob's a shop-a-holic.
Who can't stop smoking crack.
